Groups

Your athletes, together.

A contest prep, a running team, this month’s beginners: bring them together in a conversation where everyone reads and replies to each other. You pin what matters, share your documents, and your live sessions and group appointments show up there on their own.

Included in the Pro plan (€79 a month incl. VAT). Sending one message to several athletes separately is included from Starter.

A group in ten seconds, from your tags

You pick a tag (“competition”, “remote”) or a few athletes, ALTERO suggests the name, and the group is created. You can have several: a prep, a team, a cohort.

Everyone chooses to join

Your athletes get an invitation and decide whether to join. In the group, the others see their first name, their photo and what they write, nothing else from their coaching: no weight, no check-in photos, no meal plan. They can leave the group at any time.

The essentials stay on top

You pin a message (the weigh-in time, the week’s instructions): it stays shown under the group name, and one tap takes you back to it.

Photos and documents, without scrolling back

Share a PDF, a Word or Excel file, or a photo. Everything that’s been sent ends up in “Photos and documents”, sorted by type.

Your lives and appointments land there

A live session started for the group posts its card there: scheduled, then live with “Join”, then the replay. A group appointment (a workout in the park, a video call) posts its own, and each member gets their own appointment with its reminders. If you move it, the card follows.

You stay in control

You rename the group, invite or remove a member, remove a message. Each member can report a message, block another athlete or mute the group. A newcomer only reads what’s written after they join.

Why it keeps your clients

An athlete alone with their meal plan gives up faster than one who’s part of a team. The group adds what one-to-one coaching can’t: others training too, the questions nobody dared ask, the motivation before stepping on stage. It’s the presence of your coaching, shared.

Questions

Groups: your questions

How is it different from a group message?

A message sent to several athletes separately lands in each athlete’s private conversation: nobody sees the others, and replies come back only to you. A group is a shared conversation where everyone reads and replies to each other. Both start from the same button: “Send to several, separately” or “Send as a group”.

Can my athletes see each other’s data?

No. In a group, members see each other’s first name, profile photo and messages, never their tracking (weight, measurements, check-in photos, programme, meal plan). Each athlete chooses to join, and one athlete can’t message another privately.

How do I run a live or a workout for the whole group?

When you create a live or an appointment, choose the group in “My groups”. Its members are invited, and the live or appointment card appears in the conversation. For a group video call, paste a group video call link (Meet, Zoom) or run a live instead.

What if an athlete is rude in the group?

You remove their message or remove them from the group. Each member can also report a message (the ALTERO team is notified) or block the person so they no longer see their messages.

Do I need a paid plan?

Yes, groups are part of the Pro plan (€79 a month incl. VAT). The 14-day free trial lets you try them. Sending one message to several athletes individually is included from Starter.
