How to coach clients online as a fitness coach

Coaching a client online means giving them a clear plan each week (training, nutrition, goals), collecting what they actually did, and adjusting. Good online coaching rests on four things: a thorough onboarding questionnaire, a programme they can follow session by session, a weekly check-in done the same way every time, and clear rules for communication. Everything else is tooling to save you time.

Peak week: planning the final 7 days before a show

Peak week is the last seven days before a bodybuilding, physique or bikini show. The coach adjusts training, carbs, water and sodium so the athlete steps on stage full, dry and feeling good. There is no universal protocol: a good peak week is prepared well in advance, steered day by day from what you see, and never puts the athlete’s health at risk.

How much should you charge for online coaching?

The right price for online coaching comes from three numbers: the real time each client takes you every month, your costs (tax, National Insurance, tools, insurance), and the income you want to keep. Put them together and you get a floor price, which you then set against the market and the value you bring. Charging too little is the most common mistake, because it limits how many clients you can coach well.
